All is well here!

New things:

-Our refrigerator broke. That smelled....terrible.

-We aren't moving in sooner than later. Boo.

-Mira is well. She got pinned at the dog park, so we haven't gone back. It just scares me.

-She graduated from PetSmart! And she's starting Round 2 of obedience this coming wk.

-Matt is well. His hair is getting soo long! I love it.

-I just got hired at 2 places...more about that later.

-Jersey Junction is decorated for the Holidays! It looks good. I went in after work one night to help out.

Anyway, going to see a movie with Matt tonight ("It Might Get Loud") It's a surprise. No reason for it. Just wanted to do something nice, and chances are, he forgot it's coming out!

Update 10-28

We closed on the house! Thank God! It felt like it was never going to happen. Anyway, it's been a week. Hopefully soon we can move in...there's A LOT to be done on it, but we received some good advice from a friend that encouraged us to move in sooner than later. I imagine Matt and I will talk it over a little more, but I have most of our things packed...

Mira is well. Tomorrow is her last vet appointment for her booster shots. Which means that I can start taking her to the dog park (YES!). Matt and I have been getting more exercise than usual lately trying to tire her out. The older she gets the more she requires as far as what it takes to get her absolutely exhausted. Generally playing with Zach's dog Oscar, or taking a long (I'm talking 1 to 2 hour) walks is good for her. I know that playing with other dogs will be a great workout for her and hopefully not as time consuming for us! I'd guess she's about 20ish pounds right now (we'll know tomorrow for sure) and looks like she'll be doubling in size from what she currently is. She's a lot of fun, and it keeps us on our toes :-)

Halloween is this Saturday, but I'm not sure what we'll be doing. Our friends had a party last weekend, and Matt went as a present (I wrapped an oversized box in wrapping paper and he wore it with black tights, haha!) And I was a refrigerator (Once again, an oversized box wrapped in aluminum foil. I put sticky notes and taped magnets to me. I also wore black tights.) Mira is going as a bumble bee. I might be going to another party this weekend with my friend Jessa, seeing as that Matt works early mornings all week and probably won't want to stay out late!

I'm trying to find another job as Jersey is starting to slow down for the season...we'll see how that goes!

Matt and I had a really nice dinner date at my favorite restaurant, The Electric Cheetah. Good conversation...good food!

Anyway, Mira is all wet since we just bathed her and she's running like a wild dog all over the place, and the dishes are dirty...so I should probably wrap this up!

Catching Up!

Long time no post! I've been thinking about my blog more lately, thinking I should update it. I'm terrible about emailing updates (I can usually get about one a month to my Grammy Jo) but I'd like to be able to do more than that. Hence, attempting to update my blog a little more than every 6 months?

Easter

We're having Easter at our house this year...we'll see how that goes! I'm a little nervous for it since we have a lot of space but no real chairs for anyone to eat on...hmmm...hah.

Looks like we'll be making:

-Turkey or Ham

-Green bean casserole

-Some kind of bread

-Vegetable

-Deviled eggs

-dessert

Pretty traditional.

So far the head count is 15 people...eek!! I'm looking forward to it, just a little nervous is all.

Today is Sunday. And it's my only afternoon off, and I cherish it, but this house needs a good cleaning.

So I will do it. Because frankly, it's sad to come home from a long day of work to a dirty house :-(

Hopefully between the two of house we can keep it somewhat clean??

Well the last few weeks have been pretty busy!

I'm currently working 3 jobs.

I work at Camp Bow Wow (Doggie daycare and boarding) to sum it up, I get paid to play with dogs all day. Some people think it's kind of a stupid job, and the name is a little embarrassing but I find myself pretty happy at work!

The second is Jersey Junction (old fashioned ice cream parlor). It'll be my third (and most likely last) summer at Jersey. I like the job, it's predictable I have fun with my coworkers and the atmosphere. My Dad took us to Jersey growing up, we always loved to go. One scoop of mint chocolate chip in a dish! :-)

Lastly, I clean a home every other week. My Mom cleans about 10 homes a week, so I also randomly help her with those. We are actually currently doing a final clean on a condo over in Union Square for Joe (the gentleman who owns our home).

Our house is good...looks like we're moving into the basement soon. So, it will be a challenge since we both work full time to get all of our stuff down there in a timely fashion. But, we really can't complain!!

Anyway, trying to update a little more often to stay in touch with everyone especially now that Matt's sister Renee has a blog of her own!
