English teacher: Alright class, let us come together and share our lists of literary terms. (pause) Just so we're clear, "Lolcat" is not a literary term.

New Haircut

No reason for the weird face. Just didn't know what else to to.
After a couple of days.

People must think I'm totally vain.
Maybe I am?
Anyways, major thanks to Mani!!

Sigh

Just had a long debate about church.
My Mom goes to Rez Life, and its basically pointless to argue with her. I think its hard to argue with her because deep down she knows what they're doing is disgusting. Who needs a mega church? She knows its wrong but says that she "Enjoys Pastor Dwyane's messages" I mean, honestly are they going to have a preacher in there that caters to logic and reason? No its all based on emotion. Raise your hands, free your inhibitions, pay us ten percent of your paycheck, and God will love you. Salvation is unconditional at that church. "Admit God is Lord and you'll be saved" It's all just so backwards. So backwards. These people are getting "saved" under false pretense and I just get so frustrated.

I am frustrated with church in general and have been for a long time. I know that man makes errors, the blind leading the blind etc.

I don't know. I think that the church should be open to criticism and should AT LEAST be able to withstand it, and have a solid foundation. Maybe church should become purely digital and we can all listen to sermons on podcast.

I still feel upset when people just treat Jesus as a genie. He's not!! I understand the concept of acknowledging God in all that you do, but discrediting the concept and value of prayer by praying to God every time you can't find your car keys, REALLY? Yes, He deals with trivial problems as much as the big ones...but something about that seems so very backwards to me.

Theatrics, smoothies, pool tables, etc. distract from the real reason we're at church. And I can't support a church like that.

I might as well be at the coffee shop overhearing a podcast about God while I talk to my friends and drink my smoothie. I mean, isn't that what Rez Life has come down to? The ratio of real "food for the soul" to bullshit (ie pool, friends, comfy chairs, whispering) is drastically tipped.
